im seeing these cheap cooling fan thermostat switches all over the net costing around $6-$8 .. has anyone used them and are they reliable? the pricier $20 ones look exactly like the $6 ones.. what do you think? and where did you buy yours
It might be worth a try but are you positive you want to chance the cheap switch not working? Or kicking on at the wrong temp. I'd prefer to spend a bit more coin for one that was designed to kick on at the temp I wanted it to and even then would probably wire in a toggle switch that I could byp*** it with to kick it on manually if needed.
I just wired on up last night. I installed a 185 degree sensor but added a ground jump wire on a dash switch to override.
no, i don't want to chance the cheap on not working or coming on and off at the wrong temperature.. just figured i ask the hambers to weigh in and see what everyone else is using... i don't want to spend too much coin if i don't have to.. i've seen these in jegs, summit, etc and don't want to pay more because of there name.... im looking for a 200* ON and 185* OFF
