Mick, I will make it short and sweet.

Once again, despite everything mother nature can throw at you, you pulled off a great show!

Terry and I had a hell of a time.

You wimps that let a little rain stop you and went home Saturday missed a lot of fun at the motel, a ROCKIN' show from the bands and a great time on Sunday back on main street.

Great to put a few more faces with names and see those of you I had met before again. I'd name names but I would leave someone out.

    See ya next year!

    GV

We just pulled in to the driveway & it was a dry trip home, but chilly. I will get some pix up later. And the wife had a great time also, even though she spent 3 1/2 hours out of 4 hours in a downpour in the roadster.

Yea, we pulled in and spent about an hour walking around in the rain. Then off to the hotel to dry out and take a nap. I saw you in your car then we parked and I could not find you. Wow! is all that I can say about your car, she is a beauty. Here a shot from someone after we arrived soaked to the bones.

Got home a bit ago. Little Toot broke his throttle cable in Bartlesville. I was told he was ahead of us so I was hauling ***, then Rev called and said he was behind us.

    Huh?

I called him and he was still in town so we flipped a ***** and went back for him. We wound up stealing parts of his kickdown cable to rig up his throttle cable and Toot, MAMA and I were off. We followed him to his house without incident and continued on home.

Just pulled EVERYTHING out of the 59 that will come out and have fans set on it to dry that barge out.

I've been swimming and haven't been as wet as I was yesterday but this show was still a blast!

    I needed that.

Good to see Gary and crew from Night Prowlers.

  9. I didn't know anyone was stranded until Vern called me when I was already home. I would have turned around!

Vern got a ticket taking a backway to Sand Springs via hiway 20 then thru north Tulsa. County mounty had a chip on his shoulder, gave ***ton a great deal of grief too, from what Vern said.

  10. We made it back to D/FW without incident.
Nice trip down Route 66 with some sun! ;)

Thanks to everyone, we had a blast, and will be there next year carrying the Them! Texas torch.

Hey Grant glad to hear you guys made it home OK.

I'm surprised no one mentioned about the President Bush fly over.

Oh yeah, President Bush flew over.

    Your tax dollars at work!

How did you pull that off Mick? :)

I checked in with the hotel this morning and they were very happy with the weekend events. No toilets filled with beer cans found in the parking lot, ticked off Honeymooners, deflated sheep or any girl Softball players. You would have thought it was a slow weekend.

60 rooms are already booked for next year. KOOL!!

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

We kinda gripe about the hotel people getting onto us but I have to say that these people are FAR more lenient than any other hotel I've ever stayed at. I hope they realize that some of the craziness in the lot was from locals. Who needs to see an 86 Mustang TRY to do a power stall? And the drunkard on the Cycle? I thought for sure he was gonna ricochet off Myers car.

Maybe next year we can find a patch of parking lot that needs repairing and help them with the removal process? :)

    Another thing Mick,

I forgot to get a room for next year. I thought it was kinda cool having it reserved under "RASHY" because she new exactly what I was talking about when I said it.

It was a bit more difficult when I lost my key and could not provide any ID with RASHY on it.
