My T is running Weld Draglite wheels which I really want to change out to get a more traditional look. I have some steel wheels for the rear and some mini spare wheels for the front...but the minis will require relocation of the rims to the hoops to get the look I want. ALL the wheels will require some form of adapter or modification to run caps though. Seems adapters of some sort are in my future. Heres the thing though. I've noticed while trying to find an adapter that some of the drag race guys are adapting Nova and the like dog dishes to painted draglites! With the caps on they look just like original wheels and of course are super light...which helps unsprung weight on a drag car...or a T roadster. I'm now thinking on maybe going that route with mine. I'm wondering if anyone here has done this to a set of draglites and what caps you used? Not wanting to run Chev emblem caps. Did you buy adapters or make up something yourself? I'm considering making something up myself so a few ideas would be great!
That's a pretty cool move. I tried running 14" steels on my corvair from some Nissan and I'm learned that modern steels don't have the required space to run vintage caps. I wanted to run 66 SS spinner style impala caps. No bueno. Sent from my LG-H931 using Tapatalk
