Big Johns car always had such a mean looking stance to it. Always looked fast just sitting there! Jimbo
My dad and I had the pleasure of hanging out spending the day and going to dinner with Mike Mitchell during a Goodguys nostalgia drag when they first started. We just kinda of clicked and had a great day. He was a neat guy with some awesome stories. I treasure that day. Met Ron Nunes once too. Love this stuff. My first drag race as a child was Fremont dragstrip. I just got done searching for an original Fremont Dragstrip decal to run on my chopped 34 5W coupe. I found a perfect one too. Here it is. I have an original Fremont Dragstrip wool jacket too.
I used to go over to Tom Willford garage a bunch and drool over this car body. He was one of my club members in the Mischief Makers. Cool guy. Miss talking to him on the phone. RIP.
That is my favorite movie, we have the VHS tape and the DVD and I have watched it many times. Lots more great footage in the movie. It's about 2 hours long.

Tom Willford and I had a small feature in the filming of the Gasser Files. We had such notables as Junior Thompson, K.S. Pittmon, Ronnie Nunes, Bones Balogh and the Mallicoat Bros. In our pit area. We had just completed the restoration of the Ron Bizio Willys PU, and it was our first time out with it. The Jackson Bros could not have been nicer to us, great memories !
Old Gasser's will never die!!!!!!! Thanks to groups like the Southern Gasser Association gasser's will live on for another generation to enjoy. Just my opinion but I would rather watch the cars from the 60's then watch what drag racing is today. Jimbo
