Well after tearing apart my shoebox. I decided to change a few (lot) of things. So far this is the first. A new grill. This was sitting on top my shed for about a year and it is time it got used. anyone know what year exactly it is? I think it is a 49 buick or 50. cutting up a 52 buick bumper (also from my shed) to fit up snug. so far so good. Just ignore the hood that is gonna be redone this week, but is to complicated for my skills, so it is up to my buddy to work some magic.
I think it's a '47 - '48 since the '49 is way too wide and have a higher portion in the middle, it's probably too wide for your Ford. The '50 is very diffrent as you can see on Gustav's cool car here! What you are doing looks great!!
Good choice on the grille. The buick grilles have gotta be amongst the best looking "factory" produced grilles ever.Keep the pics coming.
I think that you got it right. All I had was the grill with a splash pan, no bumper to help with the i.d, but that looks about right
once I get the bumper finished, it wont look like fangs anymore, because I am gonna have it cover the bottom by about a centimeter.
awesome, looks like your well on your way to a cool traditional "Barris" type custom. Keep us posted.... BTW: the grill is an awesome piece. Always been my favorite.
got a little more done today, but this heat is a bastard. I want to roll the gap between the hood latch support and the grill. I was thinking about just using some halved exaust pipe sections. Any other ideas on this. I kinda want it to all be rounded/rolled like the grill teeth, so it looks like thats how it came.
A Cent a Meter is what it Fukin costs now to drive my Wagon with Gas Prices so Fukin high in British Columbia, Canada. a cent a Meter@ 1000 meters in a Kilometer( .6 of a mile) @ $1.20 a fukin liter is about $12.00 to go .6 of a mile! NO SHIT! The Grille looks great!!!
