Billetproof is june third and i think i just fucked my self for it.

Today i was fliping thru the local autotrader looking for a late model fixer upper to make some cash on to help fund the plymouth build. And of course i had to look at the "restoration autos" section and the very last add on the page read, "51 ford project car from kansas 500 obo"...

so i called on it right away and got his wife she said to call back later. So i did and set up a meeting time. drove the 50 miles out there and me and the ole lady were happy as hell we did.

The car is real clean in about 10,000 peices but real clean. and a big suprise for the deal was it comes with a 49 4 door parts car. the 4 door is rusted real bad but has tons of good parts for it.

So i looked em both over real good plus all the other goodies the guy had laying around. and said he has a deal. he asked if i had a trailer and when i said no but uhual does he said well hell the 49 is allready on my trailer why dont i bring em out to you. I asked what he wanted for that and he said nothing!!!!:D

So how much more kick ass can this guy get. get two cars for a killer price plus he is going to drive 200 miles round trip to bring them to me. Needless to say he will be getting kicked some xtra money and a case of beer for his troubles and i dont care if he wants it or not. its just good karma to do such a thing after he is willing to go out of his way.

So now that the story his told here are the plans...
3 weeks running driving car. but not just a car a Kustom one.
Body is allready unbolted so i figured hell my as well channel it then i wont have to mess with the suspension so much:rolleyes:
And any kustom needs to be chopped right?
so i have three weeks to wire it put my xtra sbc and 700r4 in it redo the brakes/fuel lines. chop and channel and put it all back together.
I think it can be done. it will suck come three weeks from now when i can hardley walk or talk but it should be fun any way.

So im going to try like hell to do this and try to show most of it on here for you guys to see. Ill have my trusty beer consuming side kick fathack to make fun of me as i work so that may slow me down a bit but some one has to take the pictures right:D ;)

I take deliviery on the cars saterday morning work will began as soon as there in the garage.

    wish me luck!

Hope you get it done!!! I want to see this car at billetproof!! I'm racing to get my '54 Link done for the same show. The 5-0 is bolted in, we'll be working on the wiring this weekend (hopefully fuel, and brake lines too!!) I'm not getting as crazy as you, but I'm still havin' fun!!!!!

Where was this car at?? I'm west of Adrian and east of hillsdale and I keep seein' more iron every day!!!! And I haven't even traveled the dirt roads yet!

It will go on ebay right after billetproof so i can put the money from it into the plymouth.

So my phone rings tonight, and there's this stranger on the other end babbling incoherently over a loud, buzz-bomb exhaust system about buying two shoebox Fords and how we're gonna get one done for Billetproof!

Then...his phone goes dead (or he saw a bunny), and I almost dismissed it as a crank call until I saw this thread!!!

Ha Ha Ha!! As head of the Elf's Local 101, I may just have to attend a meeting with this clown tomorrow over the whole thing!!!

if I was able to get the '55 done in 6 days, when even YOU said it couldn't be done, then you can definitely do it in 3 weeks!

your not gonna fuck up ANOTHER good old car are you??? i sincerely hope you learned something after fucking up that last chop job... if this deadline means cuttin corners and doing things half assed i think you'd be better off taking your time. i suggest taking as much time as is necessary to do the job RIGHT. thats all i'm trying to say. it is certainly possible to do it in 3 weeks but will the results be worth it???

i know i'm sounding like the worlds biggest asshole right now and i don't care. i also know your going to do it regardless of what i say but i seriously hope you prove me wrong and it does'nt look like some hacked up POS come BilletProof. Don't just prove you can do it, prove you can do it RIGHT.

    good luck. i mean that.

Maybe you better get a HAMB Chop together. Or a HAMB Thrash or whatever. I bet you'd get a big turn out.
