So I got my 31 body on my 32 frame and I have a question. Most pictures you see of bodies on frames have the wheels on. Do most people cut and shape the bottom of the rear wheel wells to follow the frame contour or just leave flat as stock? I am kinda thinking of cutting the body to follow the contour but I was looking for pictures for a little guidance but am struggling to find any. what do you guys think?
I think most I see leave the wheelwells full length, but I have seen them cut before. Probably depends on if your frame fits inside or not. Can you leave the 32 frame rear width stock and still fit inside the wheelwells?
I cut mine to follow the kick up on the 32 frame. Exactly how you shape the cut out is up to you. Here’s the only pic I have that shows it, the brake drum is hiding a little Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
My frame fits inside but i have a through frame brake fitting that comes out inside the wheel well. i might just trim the wheel well to clear the brake connector.
On my '28 Tudor on '32 rails, I trimmed the body to match the frame's curvature. Sorry for the poor photo.
