A few of these have turned up before, but most of the pics are old. Let's see some bitchin '60-66 Chevy & GMC trucks. My dad has owned several of these trucks since before I was born. As a matter of fact he's ALWAYS had one in the past 27 years I've been around. My little brother got one about 10yrs ago, and I finally got mine about a month ago. I guess it's just in my blood to love these trucks.

I'll start with my daily driver '64 SWB Small Window. Big plans for it, and steady working on it while driving a 40-mile commute everyday. Let's see yours...as well as your favorites...

That is what a finished truck look like.

383/700r4, old school drop, no bags and well sorted out.

I drooled all weekend at Stray Kat 500.

Here's my '64 when I was using it for my speed shop (circa 1968).

My old man bought it in '66 at an auction - for $401. It was just a 250 C.I. six-banger, but we put a Thunderbolt hood scoop on it anyway. (-:

Once, a friend and I mounted some slicks on it, dummied up a drag chute (from an old army backpack dyed black) and loaded several hundred pounds of phone books in the very back, so we could pop the clutch and have it do "wheelies" (hey, we were just kids back then). (-:

Between my dad and I, we must have put a million miles on the old hound before finally getting rid of it. We even replaced the entire body from the windshield back once, after getting T-boned at an intersection and flipping it on its top.

Those were great machines - rode and drove like a car. I've been looking for another one for the last 20 years, but it's never quite worked out.

  10. My Grandpa used to have a '65 GMC truck that I remember seeing alot of when I was little, since then i've always wanted a '60-'66 Chevy or GMC for a truck.

A little over 6 years ago I aquired the '62 C10 swb fleetside big window custom cab. It originally had the 235 inline 6 with a 3 speed manual on the floor. Then the day before thanksgiving year before last a clueless driver destroyed the front end. Now sporting a GMC grille, GMC hood & tailgate.

That's when I started shaving, modifying, lowering, etc. Now the truck is running a 353 (not 383) backed by a TH350 going into the factory 3:90 posi rear.
Here's a pic taken back in Dec of last year.

  14. I often wondered why someone didn't build a SWB C-20 to pull their racecar.

Seems like it would be a good push/shop truck.

I picked this up a month ago. Pic one is the day I bought it home. Coming along slowly. It's my daily driver.

It was a Texas truck, but it still needed cab corners, rockers, and fenders after 8 years in PA.

It has a 327, slushbox, and 4.56 gears.

Thanks Blktop Bandit for posting that pic of my ol' panel truck...It was my daily driver in the early 80's..running a 350/350 combo with air cond., and a 6 way power caddy bench seat and a tilt wheel..The pics shown was taken before it was lowered and also recievied orange steelies........(Just for kicks)..The house you see in the background was the first home that I purchased..That was in 1977 at the price of $13,000 and monthly payments of $101.00 a month...Those days are history !!!......L.O.L.

Not trying to horn in here, but I got a little Spam. I have a decent 64 Suburban I'd like to get rid of. It's an original Texas truck. Has the tailgate and hatch, not two doors in the rear.

If anyone is interested, send me a PM so we don't clutter up this thread with my spam.

This was my first truck. I saved up and bought it for $1,000. After driving it for a few weeks I had to fix it up so
I took off the white spokes and put these moons on. Than with the help of my best freind and his dad,
we primered it and lowered it.
This was in 1988 and I was 16 years old. So now I have a soft spot in my heart for these old trucks.
