Any 1;87 ho scale train guys out there ? I have a few extra [7 up] bottle trucks, look like '36 and '47 fords but not enough details to deal with royalties... had 50 of them but I cut up a bunch as hot wheels racing garbage trucks etc. and gave away 5 or 6 to a couple trainiacs... maybe funkhouser can make a mountain dew or rolling rock breweries truck out of one ? green ? there is also a what they call 1945, but it looks like a '38-'39 cabover, only got 1 of those... the one and only '45... and a '47 with a [hot wheels] morris wagon cab... I raced modified hot wheels all across our country, brazil and Australia by mail... built an altered A woodie for a make-a-wish boy... he spanked the aussies, called him "champ" for a year. felt good.
That's a Cool story, and it's great of you for helping the make a wish boy. I've gave, and have given away many Hot Wheels, to family, friends, and to the kids at our church too. I'm kinda like the Johnny Apple Seed, of Hot Wheels. Lol The best thing about Hot Wheels, is they're cheap and easy to customize. Here's a few of my Hot Rodded, Hot Wheels. Ron...
In my workshop I keep several hooks full of HotWheels (I buy them every time I hit the stores @ $.99) - when the kids are here I tell them to pick one, they love opening them up!
my first customized hot wheels was a '40 woodie... got into swaping chassis, the channel, section, chop...my best racer has been the '64 galaxie in a '55 cheby base with FTE wheels and axles... did I send you a how 2 on modding a "way 2 fast" and a "straight pipes"... uses 2 cars and makes 2 hot rods... only need a drill, hacksaw, file, sandpaper and glue...only need to drill or cut plastic...and a straight pipes mod... I can't scan and copy, so I just took pix, if you set it as your background or screen saver it will get as big as it can... call me if there is some you can't see to read... 207 786 4795 teach the tykes that they can change things for the better... I see a '34 Packard, I modded one into a '31 lincoln touring on a way 2 fast base... set new national track records with 3 of my 4 passes [they didn't invite me back !]
^ Hi Safariknut, this car is of Italian origin. It was produced by INGAP Torino. It's quite rare even here in Europe. They also came painted. I have a red one which was my late father's which he got when he was a boy. My grandma was Italian. It must be from the 40ies or early 50ies. It has a very American look IMHO. Lukas
Just got this "Buddy L" woody hot rod this afternoon. Broken/missing passenger side headlamp, but I had to get it....
Here's a couple of Pyro "Soap Box" racers...one with the launcher: Here's a selection of small (1-1/2") Pyro racers...assorted colors:
Just picked up a shoe box of free toys for my first born that will be born in August. All hot wheels, with some hot rods in it. Will post pictures later.
Here are some of what my grandkids and I play with when they come over. They like playing with the 20’s and 30’s toys as much as I did when I was their age. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
This is one that came in a master pack of 4.I bought the inventory of a 5 and dime down in a small town in Arizona and kept this one for myself. It was 1994 or 1995, so it had to have been sitting there for 50 years or more.
I raced modified hotwheels for years, bought "lots" of hw, many I didn't want but had to buy them to get the bodies I wanted.... hundreds of wanna be's... I take 3 to cruise nights and give them to kids... I take one with me to the bank every trip there, give it to the tellers, they know who needs a car and who is spoiled... no better way of thinning out the fleet... go kids go !
Here one I dug up in the dirt somewhere. Tootsie fiat abarth. Sent from my SM-G930T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I bought this years ago with some gas & oil cans, the body was fashioned from a 5 gallon gulf oil can with a flat piece of wood for the frame and some axles and wheels from who knows where. It has a push handle and the end of a small piece of rope attached to the front to pull it with.
I like toy hot rods and race cars. This one is my most favorite and is a hard one to find. It is Japanese tin>
NOW I know what my trailer used to be!!! I have this set in red...with a flatbed trailer...guess the camper shell didn't make it!
Well, I'm sure we all have at least one of these: I'm kinda partial to car toys with drivers, I love the looks on their faces:
a few more of mine. That "Bearcat" race car with garage came out of someone's trash about 20 years ago!
Well I have some driver's needing Car's...a pilot with out a plane...and even a couple of astronauts without a space ship... Oh ya a biker needing a bike or I guess it could just be a guy trying to take a dump..... Sent from my QTASUN1 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
