I used buckets from some sort of Mitsubishi suv in my 36. Removed the headrests, as much plastic as possible, and hid the rest with a blanket.

Not ideal, but they were clean enough that I don’t think I will get a communicable disease from them.

Apparently minivan second or third row seats, and S10 seats work too. I just never came across any when I was looking.

I like it, been in there a long time, it's comfortable even for the long haul, fits like it was made to be there.

3rd row from a 90’s suburban. It’s a perfect fit and it very comfortable. It’s removable, folds and tilts to get to storage underneath. It has the mounting points for the seat belts. Seat mounts are easy to make and the seats are cheap.
    Seat $25
Estimated time to make 3 hours
    Angle iron and hardware $30
Time to work out what to make 2 days

I initially had the stock seat in my '39 p/u recovered. It was OK but not really all that comfortable. So I finally bit the bullet and bought a Glide at LARS before Covid. Much nicer but not cheap.
