'HotrodA' just picked up a 30 - something Es*** frame from my house (HAMB relay) and that ****er was HEAVY duty!!
I had a late 20's sedan many years ago and loved it even though I didn't finish putting it on the road before having to move and leave it. The frames are highly desireable to use. They were used in early hot rod racing days.
We just finished a complete ch***is for a 27-28 with Heidts IFS and IRS. Used the stock frame boxed. Engine was a EchoTech with 5 speed.
I'm picking up this '27 Es*** truck in the New Year. The cab is Es***, everything else is '30 Chevy. I plan to modify the rad shell to look more like an Es*** one once I get the truck home.
'29 RS Coupe on model A rails;wiring right now and we can see the light at the end of a very long tunnel.
what the hell. ive been thinking of putting an ecotech in my 31 es***. did they keep the efi or adapt a carb? got any pics?
Hey Brian; So you haven't hunkered down for the winter after all? Hopefully I'll get this thing wired shortly;I want to get the headers and side pipes in before Xmas.We could have a runner by New Years and that would mean a beaker or two of some good navy rum .
Hey 29 xs, have you got the Es*** fairies working on your car. A little birdie told me you haven't been out in the garage for a few weeks??????? Is your car building itself now? Pat.
Hey Fordnutz;no fairies in this shop ,but hopefully a gnome with magical powers will finish the Es***.Chip Foose reluctantly declined my offer to finish my car...what was he thinking .
I'm hunkerd down with the engineering fairies. Have a headlight bar/fender bracket installation/change happening in the garage, but too busy doing real work to get to the garage!!!
Real work!,what a bummer! That's why I love retirement and love being a burden on society .I got motivated again and back playing on the Es***;sometimes ya gotta walk away from them for a while!
A tudor is a car built by Ford (or other car company).) A Coach is the specification given to this model by Es***. Also, The Ford was built with quarter panels speficlly designed by Ford for a two door model. On the Es***, all of them were the same to the front door hinge pillar. From there back the car was modular. If you ordered a coupe, they installed the rear curtain and coupe quarters. If a Coach, you got a filler panel between the door and the rear apron and curtain panels. If a Sedan, a door was put in place of the filler panel. If you look inside any Coach, the rear door hinge pillar (or "C" pillar) is there, they just didn't install a door and the hardware for the latch in the "B" pillar.
ok so all es*** sedans are coaches then you could have a 2 dor coach or a 4 door coach? is this any were close to right?
View attachment 3760893 I realize this tread is a few yrs old now but. Here is my 1930 Es*** coach. I built the frame, fully bagged, 4" chop, 3" section, 4"stretch, and a ton of other ****. neat little thing I found... the 1930 is the only year Hudson and Es*** have oval back windows.
Well, here's my girl, 28 Hudson Es*** sedan. The only thing better than one set of suicide doors is two! I just picked her up 2 months ago now . Drove her home , 13 hours . Loved every minute of it! Haven't changed anything. ....yet!
Just pulled a 2dr coupe Es*** out of the woods . Need advise on year ID . Door has the piano hinge.Need a left door and trunk lid.
