Lookin' good!

 

So not long after the flathead run i broke an oil line and spun a bearing in my new motor. I did get my wheels powder coated. Today i picked up another 8ba to swap in the car and get me back on the road. I got it for a god deal and it looks super nice inside and has adjustable lifters.

 

Man, call me jealous. My coupe won't leave the shop for another six months or so.

Yeah man it bummed me out pretty bad. It actually happened months ago and I have not touched it since. so the new motor will t least make me get off my ***.

 

Something like that will certainly take the wind out of your sails. I can totally understand that feeling.

 

so I sold the shoebox day before yesterday. It is going to a great home and I bought a car I did not think I would ever own. 1941 mercury convertible!

 

yes I have recast merc acc wheel for sale.$3500 with out core..i also have a couple cores. BTW very nice choice tor the 51 ford cpe..

 

I have 41 merc horn rings available

 

so I am made a deal and got the shoebox last weekend!

plans are a color change asap and drive it and enjoy it for a while.

I sold the car a year ago. about a month ago I traded and got it back.

 

so I am slowly going back through my thread and fixing the photobucket garbage. but I thought I would ad some new stuff. I have been collecting parts and slowly getting things done.

the floors are just about done. go easy on me this is the first set of floors I have ever made and installed.

Where did you get the seat covers? Im in dire need of nonstock upholstery i got my 50 last week and im trying to source parts I know of mac and shoebox central but man i cant find any upholstery for it.

 

I have been looking for fender skirts like the ones you have but have not found a set, do you know any one that has a pair. Don

I just sold a pair of 51 Meteor grilles like the one in your shoebox. They are like chickenlips, hard to find. The guy gave me a deposit and disappeared...might have to post them again!
