Looking to see if anyone thinks these valves look a little proud on the seat? If so, enough to make a pair of 461's (that in all indication don't look to have been milled excessively) come in at 59cc?

The height of your valves look fine. And also a little extra compression is fine with me.

    Appreciate the reply ROADSTER1927.

I got kind of caught putting the horse ahead of the cart. I was ***uming 63-64 CC and had my cam already picked out (but not yet purchased) to compliment the overall build and use. I really need to be around those numbers to provide an SCR of 10 or less. Heavy vehicle, 327, powerglide and around town driving.

I installed some chamfered valves that I use while polishing chambers and with those I get around 61.7cc. That's what got me thinking maybe the valves were a tad high-in-the-seat.

Not terribly connected to your question but the other elephant in the room that should be a consideration is the heavy vehicle and the Powerglide transmission.
Depending on your rear gear ratio that combination could be a bit of a dog.
I know my heavy 66 Suburban was.

    Thanks for the reply DDDenny.

It's a '65 Impala that's 100% stock. I'm trying to stay close to a stand-off restoration so the only real change I wanted to make is a slightly newer cam profile. That being said, I'm definitely not counting out a TH350 or TH200R4 in the future which would place the PG in storage. In the meanwhile the 3.55 gears do seem to be about the best compromise GM could have decide upon on for this combo.
