I recently read that Sawzall attended one of the MetalMeet gettogethers. Are they worth the time and money? They are a week long in Oct. for about $100.00 TIA
Depends what you want to learn. Check out the following link: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104566
i haven't attended one, but lurk a lot on metalmeet, and plan on hitting this years meet. i don't think you'll find a better oppertunity to get actual hands on experience on a variety of machines and tools.
I attended a meet last year, it was just a day long meet, and it was one of the better metalworking seminars I've experienced. We had all day to mess with a variety of equipment and plenty of knowledgeable folks on hand to enlighten us and offer encouragement. A good deal. Hotwood
MetalMeet isn't necessarily a seminar, but there are seminars there, during the week. If you have a project that I'd like to work on, there is an opportunity to make whatever you would like. I have been there the last three years and have seen many projects being worked on. What's cool, is meeting/visiting with others that have like interests, seeing what others are doing and picking up some new skills. This meet is held in Oblong Illinois, mid October. There are also several other meets coming up in the next couple of months back East.
