  4. Me and my pop ;). I actually got him into traditional rods once I built my '59, and we just finished up on his '55 gasser. Now we're building my '31 coupe along with help from some friends of ours. Its a looooooong way's off, but we're gonna piece together a chopped/channeled '32 5-window with a Hilborn injected 394 Olds after this coupe is done.

  5. me and dad all the way. Dad loves that i am involved in this culture.. i help him on his ride all the time... and he does to me.

Another team right here, if it wasn't for my dad I wouldn't know a thing about a car or how to build one. If it wasn't for him i'd probably be off doing drugs and things I shouldn't be.

Ya, I ruined my son too.:D Just last weekend his "new" car got dropped off in my driveway. We are going to get it rolling so it can be moved to his "new" house. My place is realitivy flat, he has an up hill driveway, the car has no front suspension and the rear end was locked up. Once he (we?) get it to rolling mode he can take it to his house and we can push it up into his garage.

Gotta get a picture of my driveway tomorrow. My 39 Plymouth coupe, his 39 Plymouth 4 door sedan, and my 50 Dodge 4x4 all sitting together. Even the wife's PT Cruiser kinda looks like it belongs. If only it wasn't for a customer's dead mini van and my plow truck sitting here.....

Exactly, same goes for me. I would be wasting my life on video games and who knows what else, if my dad wasnt around. Im really fortunate.

My dad (NickGee on the hamb) and I have big plans for our next couple cars.

    Our current vehicles......

My dad got me started before I could walk. We always had hot rods and bikes and friends with cool cars and hot rods and bikes..... He has always
worked in the automotive industry one way or another. Restorations, mechanics, even sold cars for Ford in the 60's. We have always worked on projects together. Right now we're doing my 50 shoebox convert and his model A woody (both all FORD thanks). I have a regular job but spend a lot of time wrenching in his shop. Time I will always cherish. Props to the pops that got us all started.

I've got my T, he's got a '57, a '36 Ford PU, and a '28 Tudor. He got me into cars, and I guess you could say my T is a direct reaction to his '57 that he never drives. I do my best to help him out when i can, but the man has forgotten more about cars than I'll ever know.

My father and I have never done anything together that wasn't car involved, I was raised in a rumble seat for most of my childhood, every family vacation we ever had was driving half way around the country in a roadster. My son who is almost 4 seems to be liking it just as much and I have been building a new "Family" car as of late which is a deuce sedan. if for some reason my son never gets into it I told my wife I want to be buried in my roadster.

My father passed away a few years ago.
I was really lucky to have a chance to take some leave and spend a few days in the garage with him a couple of weeks before he passed. He was in his wheel chair while I was wrenching on his car. We even went to some junk yards and parts stores around Vegas.
    Great last memories.
I have a 4 year old daughter that I am trying to raise the 'right' way.

  27. No kids, but I have my Nephews working with me.
Jonathan (aka:Foxpup) is in line to take over the shop and his little brother has the bug as well. My oldest Nephew Doug asked his Dad if he could spend a week or two with me at the shop this summer.
That means the world to me.

My nieces are into cars as well.
One has her heart set on a "Hippie" VW and the yougest is really interested in JR Dragsters.

  28. My wife's theory is there is a MUTANT CAR GENE which is randomly passed down. My youngest(3yrs) of 3 girls looks to have gotten it and I got it super-sized.:D
Dad and I in his roadster at 38 degrees:cool:
