    I never had a coil fail,its been a module or rotor.

    I carry a spare coil, coil wire, module and electric fuel pump in my little goody box. Burnt a coil wire into 2 pc's last year so I added that to the mix.

    In my GM days a rotor , and coil contact , every spring . Always use the best quality parts available to . Mega voltage in HEI system , it will make toast from junk parts fast

    Take a 12volt test light check for 12 volts on battery side of coil with key on. If power is good go to ground side of coil and have someone crank it. If test light flickers most likely ignition coil
