I assume this question was directed at me? I started with the California wheels edition, luckily it comes with the stock wheels as well, the rest was just paint/masking, bare metal foil and spark plug wires.
The insane “Green Monster” as it looked in 1959 complete with its Allison V12 aircraft engine. This model could not be easy to build. Hello, At the NHRA museum, there is a Barry Price Collection of model cars that makes everyone’s jaws drop. Those little cars are an exact replica of the original race cars of the time period. It is not just the completed cars with photos, but the detailing that went into the builds is just amazing. A virtual time machine with a shrinking attachment built in for small things. I have seen many models over the years, but this Afrons #11 model was the exact miniature version that I saw run in real life. Actually, I filmed the first West Coast arrival of the Art Arfons Green Monster Xl at Lions. It was well publicized and also well attended. Most, including us, had never seen an airplane motor powered race car before. Since Lions Dragstrip was just a mile or so away, we could not pass up this event. Jnaki “Number 11 was probably the best running of all the cars, but by the time of its performance, aircraft powered dragsters were relegated to the exhibition classification...” Lions Pits 1959 Art Afrons Green Monster at Lions Dragstrip 1959
My avatar 51 Lincoln was parked next to GREEN MONSTER #5 in Tucson Arizona when Charlie Hall owned them. Last I knew a HAMB'er owns #5 now.

Hey JW, The latest shots of the Green Monster #5 not, #11 is from the Nitro Revival Show at Laguna Seca back in May, 2018. The Green Monster is owned by: EVERETT PHOTOS 2018 Jnaki This race car is very popular in the Cacklefest/Nitro Reunion Shows. Almost one year ago in June of 2017, I took these photos at the Lions Dragstrip Museum Grand Opening. The detailing was immaculate. The Green Monster #5 Ford push truck had the most unusual graphics...It was very interesting.
The 57 Ford is an older tool so the exhaust is molded into the chassis.May need some touch up but not too bad.
