DAMN-- Very Cool!!! With some good slicks and some 5000 RPM launches You could lose 4 tenths at the 60'. That little Baby Rocks! FEDER
Wow, 11's on your first try! Very impressiv, you have a very nice engine/driveline combo going there and I'm certain you will be able to get that thing in the 10's soon! I can't wait to get my present project on the road, it's a '29 model A with a 512cid caddy engine in it. I hope to have it going in about a month and as soon as I get it all broke in I'll be taking it to the strip to see how fast it will go! I know a guy in texas who built a model T with the same engine as mine(his cam is a size bigger) and he ran a 10.62 on his first run and now his best time is a 9.96, carzy! I hope mine will go 11's or maybe even 10's eventually. Hey what did we build them for if we ain't gonna run 'em, right? Good luck for your future runs and keep the rubber side down!
No but do you really think the Hemi is gonna do that????? Just adding more fuel to the fire, Like i said before August will be here before we know it and the track will be the stomping grounds, HE HE , Rusty
Wow!! Fast cars and hot babes all in one video!! Kinda makes my wonder about Laura, taking video of girls asses. You sure throw a good party! This was a great time to get in some runs, my first two time slips had times that were exactly 7 minutes and 30 seconds apart! Thats almost the same as my E.T.s Saturday. After my 3rd run I just parked the roadster and sat back and watched brother Dave make us all grin. Small turnout but lotsa fun. With some good slicks the little coupe is REALLY going to be bad ass. Dave did absolutely nothing to the car between runs except put in gas. And his last pass would have been better if he had remembered to put in more gas! This is the first car Dave has ever built and Saturday was his first time to run on a dragstrip. I'm just sitting back watching wondering what he is going to do next!! Congratulations brother!!
I was gonna comment on the near down shirt shot myself... NICE car. THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is a hot rod!
Now that's one wicked coupe!! Hey, I know lots of guys that spend BIG $$$ to get into the 11s. All you need is alot of HP and little weight - Looks like you got the right combo! I'm hoping for high 11s low 12s in my coupe - when I'm finished.
i keep watching this.......dang! ok, this ranks up there with Jimmy White's run....how about taking us for a ride in the passenger seat........hook up an external microphone to the exhaust.....no, the huffer.......well, anything!
You can't beat that for your first time out. I've never run a blower and I was wondering if you have a rev limiter on it in case of a missed shift (heaven forbid). As you try shifting quicker the chances of missing go way up. Years ago we used to have a mockup with seat and shifter in the garage to practice on. It sure helps develope your coodination and hand/eye skills. If you can, set it up with the chrismas tree and tach simulator, so you can go through your complete run, several times an hour and never leave the garage. Certainly will save on fuel cost and dial in times. Congradulations and hope to see you at the drags soon.
Dave, Goodyear Eagle slicks work really well Good job on the car btw, hard to build a 10 second car your first time, and you have done it. Thanks for the inspiration... El
Oh yea! I love that little Hemi coupe! I remember the 1st time I saw it @ roundup I was floored! This should be good! Hey Jason, does that evil little car have a stick in it or an auto? Just curious if you drive it or are just along for the ride :
yea i offered to run dave in my blown 32 roadster you know street rod against traditional little blower against big blower. (thinking he was running high 12's). so i sat around and waited for him to put more gas in and then i got to impatiant and decided to just go down the track without him. so there i go running my best time at a 12:46 and 115 mph thinkin oh yea i could take him on the next one and then i look up and hear him comin down the track runin an 11:64 . so i am like damn glad i didn't have to embarrass my self. here is a few pics for you too It was cool meeting you dave and yes that is a sweet car. know i just need to build my gasser to beat yours and i will be happy (for a little while maybe) opps added a few of myself
Remember that Abone drives to Mokan from the Carolinas. That should be worth something. Damn, I feel like one of the peanut gallery on a Pinks episode... Nice job on the coupe, hope to see it at the hamb drags.
Better results than on Congress street that Saturday nite! Looking forward to getting to see you run at Mokan! jerry
