I like the processing thought. What kind of enlarger are you using? Camera/lens combo? Print paper?

Sorry I used to be a photographer, and am now getting back into it. I just ordered some lenses for the Showdown next week. Unfortunately I don't have a darkroom set-up yet, so I'm limited.

    Thanks everybody.

A majority of it is printed on AGFA Cl***ic, 11x14, I kinda like the warm tones. Im using an old Cannon EOS Elan, and I think all of this stuff was shot on my cheepie 35-70mm lense. Nothin special here, but Id like to move on to some better equipment when Ive got the money and the time to really use it. I did all my printing in the school dark room, Im pretty shure they were bezeler enlargers, but not positive. If I have time to, I want to take photo 2, so Ill be using med. and large format stuff at least part of the time... When I signed up for this course I didnt think Id get back into in like this, but Im digin it.

Do any of yall have photo shop? If so, and I email this last pic to some one and have you resize it so I can post it up?

    Thanks,
    Cory

I love to take black and white stuff but film prices and developing are getting out of hand. Need to buy a digital camera soon. Check out this dudes website for some more insperation. He has a whole section on cars and trucks rotting away in the desert. JT

Very impressive! I have been shooting for about a year now. Whatever I can find in the Oklahoma panhandle that is car related (which isn't much). You have great talent. I wish my shots were as good. Keep it up.

Great Shots man! if you ever need help with photoshop - just PM me. Even though I have a lot of HAMBers avatars to catch up on - this weekend should be god for that.

    It was mentioned before.

Open in photoshop at full resolution, non compressed.
    Go to 'Image Size'
then change the units to percent
you have large shots - so you could even stick 40 percent in there to try.
    Hit OK.

it'll resize on your screen and look smal as mentioned before.
got to File > Save As

then save as a .jpg - a window will come up asking for quality. It will also tell you the aprox image size in K -

scroll her down a bit and find a size you lie / quality you can live with - and hit save.

If you want - you can send me a ful resolution file, non compressed to my email - I can resize one and tell you exact settings i used.

    jonnyrockets - at - gmail.com just replace the - at - with @

Very cool work Cory, I took photography in college for two years. I really miss shooting the black and white stuff and developing them myself. Hey the Dirty can get together out in the country and do some cool djotd for you. There is a indstrial park rite past him that would be good for some racing, tire smoking shots and some dirt roads around the corner that would make good for some antique jalopy shots with dust roost, let me know I would love to help the project, Rusty

    Hey Cory,
Those are really *****in' pic's! You have talent in that area dude.
You never have got by my garage yet.The next time you're up in
McKinney bring your camera and I'll try to mess the garage up a
little bit if you want to take any pic's.ha-ha.
You better come by before I get crazy and shoot some shiney
    paint on the '40!
I think you should try an old Speed Graphic camera using 4X5
format film. That's what the old newspaper photog's used in the
50's-60's. That format film gets superb results with black & white.
I used one when I was in the Navy.

Well done, and good eye. I hope this goes where you want it to since it looks well thought and full of "soul" if ya get my drift. And I'm sure you as well as everyone on here knows, this looks like just the tip of the iceberg. Props to you and good luck.
