I'm with you on the "less is more" when it come's to chopping a coupe thats channeled as far as D.D.S is.

I did a quick photo-shop primer job on the Rad. vents, to help to blend them to the rest of the body.
With them in bare steel, they we're distracting the over-all look of it for me.

The only thing missing in this pic.,(besides the Hemi) is you sitting in the drivers seat making VROOOMVROOOM sounds:D

Love the coupe man, great job!

You are correct, its the whole package, When I came up with the amount to chop it, I had the carb scoops in mind also.......................Littleman

Smart as hell. How many people would have the restraint to do what you've done to that car, then look at the roof and say, "Two inches is enough."

looks great! I believe you are right on with your decision of just going with 2". I agree with elcornus.
It balances out perefect with the heavy channel you have on the body. It would appear pan caked (to me anyway) if it had a severe chop with the channel you have.
My thoughts are that the amount of chop and channeling need to be balanced out. For example, IMO if you had less channel I would say go a couple more inches on the roof.

I don't know about carb scoops, but coupes start looking good when the rear quarter window is no longer taller than it is long.

I was worried when I first seen the top off, thinking you were going to go crazy with the chop. The car is short and cartoonish, I think a heavy chop would have ruined the proportions. The subtle chop at 2" works very well and does fit well with the shortened look. Almost has a 7/8 scale look to it.

Did I miss a post about the engine. Did something happen to it, or was it only in mock up for the show...

  15. Littleman had a bit too much fun with the first Hemi...the proper one's on the way...!

Yeah, I kinda did the edit as a joke... DDS is perfect the way it was, and now it's perfect with that chop... a 6" or so raked chop would be too much (but it was fun to p-shop!)

Did you even take anything out? I want proof!!! Show us the t*******s?

Nice restraint, it looks dang good now. Unless they saw this thread, you be hard pressed to notice a difference right off unless you had two pics side by side I think. Man, it looks good!
