I'm running a 200r4 and need a shifter. What on-expensive options are out there for this ******? I like the Gennie shifters, but haven't seen one specificly for the 200r4. Who deals the stuff? r
Lokar makes a bunch of different styles and lengths. I'm sure Gennie would do one as well. The aftermarket shifters I sell say the 700R4 and the 2004R take the same shifter. (but they are street/strip and cable-operated...)
Gennie doesn't make one yet but they said they are working on it. I bought an old Gennie C6 shifter at a swap meet and I'm going to make it work.
BobK, I didn't know you were runing a 200r4. So is it safe to say that I can use one from a 700r4 on my 200r4? r
Gennie doesnt make a specific 200r4 model. You can use the gennie 700r4 on the 200r4, you will have to modify the bracket to make it work.
As I recall the only "Modification" we had to preform was puting a couple of spacers under the bracket to keep it stable. BB
Bob I guess you were luckier than me. Mine wouldnt stay put with just washers. HAd to sections the braket to mke it narrower. Ben @ Gennie said some peoople get away with a few spacer other have to bend em or modify the bracket to make it work. Gambino Kustoms, listed in the HAMB O DEX.
Gennie did make a 200r4 specific model, when they got bought it got dumped, had one on my Henry J, nice shifter....
I am using a Lokar floor mount shifter on my '33 tudor with a 200 R4 works good no problems up to now.
