Good looking PU man. On a tight budget, you've done real good.

    One thing on the proportions....

I wouldn't want the top of the grille shell to be higher than the top of the cowl. I think if you raised the cab a couple of inches AND cut about two inches off the bottom of the cab & doors - all the way around - it would look a little "thinner". Raising the cab two inches would solve the "fat bed" problem (if you think there is one) too.

You've done good so far & should be proud.

I usually don't like this cab fenderless... but you've done it nice. I agree with the angle of the grille and the bed. Play around with the proportions a little and you'll really have something. (you're on to a good thing already)

Thank gawd you didn't Pinoccio (TM) the front end!

  5. My thoughts exactly, tweak it a little more here and there, and you'll have it. Looks good so far! Cheap projects are my kind of projects! You don't have to spend a ton to have fun is my motto...:D

lol, to all the guys that were worried about the fenders. i never had them, if i did this truck would look totally different. like i said it's all just sitting there. by the time i get the cab mounted on rubber pads and every thing figured out, it should be well put together. yeah, i know about the grill being inline with the cowl! thanks for all the good replies! didn't expect to get this many!!

My only question would be; why is the wishbone running up hill so bad? Looks to me like you will have no caster in the axle.

Is there anyways to add the fenders later as you get money or want a little change or would that not be feasible?

  14. Hay Bud, I know what you went through to get to this point and you've done well. It's grate to read all the Atta Boyz. Like I've alwayse said " There aren't any rules, build it for your self " I remember a Young Gun a year or so back that didn't think he could get a King Pin out. Could that have been you? Naaa, that guy wouldn't have taken on a project this big. Are you looking for a Job?

Looks good...and on a budget too :) Should be a fun ride as well.

Like other's have said the bed looks too "Tall" for the rest of the truck...you already shortened it so it has the short fat look too it. I would section it a few.

But Build how YOU want to ... not how we want to

    Keep up the good work.

Looks good. I don't know that I would section the bed, but I agree with *****6, Junkie & harrison. I think that if the cab was an inch or two higher, the bed wouldn't look quite so high, and the grill would be at a better level with the cowl, as has already been mentioned the angles are great, just fine tune the heights. Keep us posted.

I like it, the important thing is if you like it. Building on a budget requires compromises in engineering and parts selection. You can alwalys change in the future as your funds allow...or not!!!
