Technical $20 spot welder

jusr picked this up at a yard sale
Never used one of these older style spot welders

Any one have good luck with these

 

I have one like that and it works quite well. Contact Miller for the instruction manual. I think you will like it. JB

I have used the newer style ones in collision shops
just couldn't p*** up the chance to have one for home
looks like they still service tongs for this thing
wonder if the HF tips will work on these?

hope it works well, I got to do complete inner and outer rockers for the wife;s 56
this would speed things up a good bit

 

The HF tips screw in, gotta be metric.

Funny story, I got mine (HF) at the flea market. I was walking along when I heard behind me "Everything's Free!" I turned around to see a swarm of people closing in. They were grabbing garden hoses, shoes and all the other **** laying there, and there was this spot welder. I guess no one knew what it was, I sure did. Got it home, cleaned the tips, good to go!
