generally if you aim them so they point straight ahead, neither left nor right nor up nor down, when they're on high beam, then they'll be close enough.
This is how were taught to adjust headlights without the cool adjuster tools in high school......yeah, I did remember something. -Use a flat driveway and a flat wall, dusk is best. -Drive close to wall without causing any damage -Turn on headlights, low beam. -With lights already pointing in the general direction, mark the wall in the center of the intense beam. -Back the vehicle straight back 20 feet. -Adjust the headlights so the intense beam is 1" lower and 1" to the passenger side. This should be a good setting for both the driver and the on-comming drivers. CDNflatlander.
In the Henry Ford manual it clearly states ... With the vehicle empty and the tires inflated to the proper pressure, locate the vehicle on a level surface 25 feet from a wall or a screen. Measure the distance from the center of the headlight lens to the floor and draw a horizintal line on the wall or screen the same height as the center of the headlight lens. Measure 3 inches below the line and drawanother line parallel to it. Measure the distance between the headlights to determine the centerline of the vehicle and draw a center line on the wall ... directly in front of the vehicle. Draw in the center lines of where the headlights should be ... With the lights ON and on high beam ... adjust the beams to hit the centerline of each headlight line ... on the lower line ( the one that is 3 inches below the top line .. ) Danny this works ... great ... but MUST be done with the high beams on ... You will notice that when you go to the low beams ... the center of the light beams will move down about 6 inches and to the right about 8 inches ... This is designed in ... from Ford ...
