Yeah, Bruce is pretty cool. I host karaoke in Denton and he comes out and sings the oldies. I have pics of both of your elky's. Here's one with my son in 2012.
Read Wichita 1960, just married, underpaid in the USAF, had 2nd job at the local Standard station, pump gas, change tires. grease and oil changes 4pm to 10pm closing. The local hot rod shop met there, (we were just a short distance from Starbirds shop) Brian, the kid I took over for when going in, bought a 59 El Camino, almost new. He, a couple of the rodders dropped it in the weeds on the grease rack, worked over the silver grey paint, put the in style wheels and tires on it, and in time it was pure killer. I think about that car and him every time I see one. Sorry you Ranchero guy's for me they just never cut the mustard.

Been a long time since I've been on the HAMB and it was under a different handle. I picked up this 1964 El Camino last month, still trying to decide what I'm going to do with it. It's nearly bone stock with 77K clicks on the speedometer, 283, PS, and the power glide has been replaced with a TH350. Thinking of air bagging it and putting on a different set of wheels, and leaving it at that.
The 59s sure look great with chrome reverse wheels and skinny whites! I think I need to explore that for mine.

I do use both but like the diecast when I can find the right models. A Dremel tool, files and JB Weld work well on these small builds.
