I am helping my pastor try to get his OT AMC vehicle running. I am stumped and don't know where else to turn but the wealth of knowledge of the HAMB. I can give more vehicle details in a pm so as not to clog up the forum with an OT thread. So if you're willing to help please pm me.

The short of what's happening...He drove the vehicle and it ran fine. Went to drive it again and is getting no battery power to anything...headlights, ignition, dome light, acc., etc... You can jump the solenoid and the starter engages so power is at least there but somehow not going anywhere else.

I have pulled every fuse, looked for fusible links, loose wires, cables. Just can't figure what's going on.

Without knowing the vintage, look at the ign switch. And start tracing from there.

get a test light, and start at the battery and work your way out from there.

Lots of AMC products had a big, soft, pink fusable link in the wire loom on the firewall. Open the loom just above the heater and work towards the master cylinder, that's where they usually are.

Thanks for the needed info. I'm going into this with very little knowledge of the AMC world.
