The Hudson Boys picked up the flatcad parts I had and seem to be looking at building a salt motor. They already have several salt records.

Bumping this back up. I'm starting to see more Flatcad builds. It's great that there is a site like this! I wish it had been there when I started my build. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

I forgot to ask Bob Brooks (aft clutchs) his stuff is used in nhra pro classes. I went to his shop to pick up a core gen. (I gave him a flathead out of my 48 sedenette) he has a salt car with a flat head cad,he has made his own heads (no water, not for street) pistons, and a lot of stuff , when he started he said he was surprised at the small amount of racing stuff available, so he made his own. His stuff is beautiful. Roger

I talked to Bob yesterday, about the Flatcad he's going to run in his liner.

He's running on a record of 218+ mph, and running NITRO!

Here's pics of his dual plug heads. I'm going to visit him, and see the car in April.

Collin only has a couple of the 4-71 blower intakes, and a couple of the 3x2 tops left.

If you are ever going to want one, you better get it now!

Collin now has 1 of each left!

    So, I've been thinking-I know, that's scary!

The FlatCad is an all out race engine, and we'll soon have numbers on it. I've been wondering what kind of performance a guy could get using speed parts that are now becoming available for Caddy flatheads.

I'm going to build the engine, running parts from www.flatcaddy.com, and Collins blower intake and tri-power, and see what it will do at Bonneville!

This is great, I just became the new owner of a 1942 cadillac flathead that is documented to be out of a Stuart Tank. It will eventually get rebuilt and put in something, but first I need to finish my 1959 edsel station wagon that is almost done.

Just for the record, for a number of reasons, I have decided for now at least to de-list my parts promoted on the flatcaddy.com website.

Not bad really as I've been at it since 2008/09

Right now, I have run out of stock and to reproduce these economically in batches and carry stock when balanced against the fall in demand and slow sales, plus ever increasing shipping costs they will be put on the back burner for now.

If any one finds the need to acquire one of my parts they should PM me to see if the situation has or is about to change, their order maybe just the number I need to restart producing another batch.

Thanks to all those folks out there who purchased my parts and got me/us to this point of satisfying the first wave of demand and helped promote the interest in Cadillac flathead engine in hot rods...

    Russ.

Sorry to***** in on this old thread.
I am in need of a Caddy 346 connecting rod. I am working on a 1946 Fleetwood, and one of the rods has a stripped thread.
