I found this car for 400bucks and I'm going to look at it Monday and see if I can resell it or I can do what I have always wanted to do. Build a g***er out of something a little wired. I don't mind it's a 4door and I wouldn't do any body work to it other than anything structural that would need to be done. I'm still new to a lot of this and I just recently have been getting into the g***er look. Any opinions or advice on building something like this and keeping it daily priced. It will be just for fun and on a budget and I have my main cars I have to attend to and give all my money haha [IMG].

And here is what I like [IMG][IMG]

    how big is your budget?

Some of us think making a g***er out of a domestic 4 door is kind of weird...but if you're just getting into it, that shouldn't bother you.

interesting, I just noticed there's a very similar Champ pickup on the local CL pretty cheap. not as cheap as that 4 door, but still pretty reasonable

not going to hurt my feelings....really strong frame....most have dana 44's already and maybe a posi - find a postal jeep - they will have a posi in them - build a mild sbc and a power glide or 350 turbo and away you go....have fun - the Lark is a lightweight already.....

That blue sedan looks like a driver. Drive it!

Buy them both-build a crew-cab Champ. Somebody please photo shop this into being!

If you're new to old cars I would suggest buying it and driving it as is for a while. Learn about mechanics and maintenance before you go off trying to modify anything as this poor Lark can easily end up as another old dream in the great junk yard in the sky.

I'm not new to traditional rods or kustoms but new to g***ers and I want to do something that people will be like wtf at first but once that get to looking like it. Just want to something different and wired but do it in a traditional way. I already have a contact with some Chrome straight axles a blower and some strongbergs and he has a good collection and will be my main guid on the project just looking to see if anyone has some advice

The 52 and 59 are the main projects right now and I have had a little of everything so far and I'm not saying I can build anything but I want to try and I might just flip the lark but it's just so tempting

I just purchased my 60 Lark 4 door with the intent to build it into my first g***er.

    How's your project going?
