There is an auction going on now for a large collection of original items. Most you have probably seen it advertised in the mags. If you want to watch it live go to egay (as some would call it) item #6626980976 and click live auction. I am not selling anything or am I apart of the auction there is just some of our neat history goinn' down the tubes. This may be the last time anyone is able to see this stuff publicly. I hope some car guys are getting some of this stuff as it is being held at the Petersen Museum. The prices are crazy!

I care .... a little. I just watched Von Dutch's striping box sell for $270,000. That's fine whatever, but I would hate to see it taken and reproduced in smaller scale to make dog carriers, lunch boxes, or who knows what. That's all I'm saying. I do however understand sodbusters sentiment. Just keep working and let the guys with big bucks have their auctions. That's why I am watching it at the shop while fitting up a custom grill I building for my F-100. Cheers

Dead fashion designer. You Really don't know shit!!!!!! do you like pin stripping or art at all .Ken Howard was Anti fashion. Just because some money hungy ass holes took his name (after he was dead)and put on trucker hats and engery drinks. Dosn't mean he wasn't one of the Icons of hot rodding. Yah I don't have the money to afford any of the art sale but would loved to go check some of this stuff out.Because this is a big colection af art that you will never see in one spot again. Scott

I was introduced to Brucker and was given a grand tour of all things Dutch, including the bus, I took a lot of pics, unfortunately I only had a 2 megapixel camera so the pics suck, but are priceless to me. I had a chance to buy that clock for 300.00 but couldnt get it at the time, it was a great piece, I envisioned it on my living room wall, but at the time was broke as a joke. I saw and handled most of the stuff there, and am shocked at the money it brung. truly amazing. brucker has sooooo much stuff its sickening. I wonder where the bus will go, too bad its missing the window...

  20. Did you see the final selling price for that item? $31,500!

But the thing that gets under my skin is how someone sold out the "Von Dutch" name. Kenny Howard is rolling in his pinstriped coffin.

Anyone that wants to check out the stuff go to ...... eBay, then advanced search, by seller, enter rmauctions, completed items search. all the items will show up with final price and all.

If you agree with the prices or not it still nice to have a chance to see this stuff.

It is kind-of true about the dead artist thing though. Everything was going way above auction estimates. EXCEPT Robert Williams' stuff wich was selling below etimates. Poor guy is still alive and was on site to see it happen.

    Have fun

In his youth, Famed Artist Pablo Picasso once did a brief sketch on a resturant napkin for a fellow artist who was in financial trouble at the time. This took place in New York City in the early 50's. The fellow artist ended up selling the napkin for some outrageous sum of money! ( thousands of dollars as I recall) This idiocy has been going on for years! Now we havwea common place to celebrate this type of activity;...it's called Barrett Jackson!
