The material on the seats are from the 80`s. Might have been redone at one point.

    Well,
I think its cool as hell. I think some people need to try and put themselves back during that time in history when this car was newly finished, they were different times, different technology. I bet most current haters would have loved it when it first came out, they were much younger then.

Big update last night ,we found a pile of do***ents in the boot, so cooool, and through that got info of owner Eddie leon and address, so found a phone number at long beach, rang vey late last night, and spoke to chip leon ,eddies son he is 71 years of age, and eddies wife Norma who's name is also on the dash is still alive and in her 90s, he was amazed that the car is in Australia and I tracked him down, now the car was brought late 60s, engine built mid 70s, and then sent to kolor me customs in late 70s and customized by Vini bergeman, he is was a well known car customizer and in the record books for building the world's biggest limo , a 66 1/2 foot long limo and, so pleased to get some light on her history, how cool is that .

I'm more into Hot Rods but outside of a thing or two that I would change if it was mine, I think it's pretty cool.

Even at that the changes I would make would be pretty minor. Get rid of the seats, steering wheel and a different set of wheels and be done.

The crossed flag hood emblem is Corvette, 1977 -79. This may help to determine the date of some of the modifications.

So my guess of 1980 was pretty close.

    Have fun with that car!

We see that a lot, people trying to sell a car by claiming that Barris had something to do with it........but then, Barris himself actually sold a lot of cars that he had nothing to do with, by pretending/claiming that he built them.

  14. I'm late to the thread revival party...... so it's a moot point now but as I read through the thread and checked the photos, I was going to point out that the side view mirrors are another way to date the thing. The paint also looked in too good of shape for 1960's. I'm a little more "like" than "not like" on the bell-curve. It reminds me of the turbine car days.

  15. And the emblem on the quarter panel is from a 1965 Pontiac 2+2, the only year that had spears on the front and rear of the 2's.

It looks like a kustom piece made for a movie. Great looking car, even that weird interior is awesome!
