How different from the world of today. I help churches and ministries that reach the youth of America. My last trip took me to Jacksonville, Florida where there are now 35 seriously active teenage gangs that commit all kinds of wicked acts of violence and mayhem against the innocent. You would be shocked to hear the stories of those who have been converted from this life and probably still more amazed to see a supernatural work on the inside that changes the behavior for right and good. I have even had the opportunity to bring our cl***ic car culture into juvenile detention centers to make application. Thanks for the link! Hot Rod Reverend www.hotrodreverend.com
This really hits home. My first court appearance 1958 or 9 for open beer and drag racing (Riding in old Chrysler coupe with Hemi, no fenders, coupe looked like a 32 Ford. 3 or 4 of us in court and my father was only parent to show up. One of my biggest regrets was never telling him how much him being there meant. Stupid child of the 50's.
I came into the world in 1970 so I missed out on all that fun. I do love hearing about the early days of hotrods though. I spent my time in my girlfriend's Chevette and my buddies Dodge Omni. Man,the 80's kinda ****ed. LOL
