Hi all, after a few months of research and lurking I’ve finally joined. To get started my grandad gave me an old project of his he never really got started working on and I’m determined to have it running in two years or less. The car is a 1953 Buick Roadmaster with the 322 V8

My plan for this project is to rebuild the 322, and delete the dynaflow and torque tube with a 700R4 and a maybe a different rear end not sure yet.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

The motor is stuck, I stopped trying to turn it after a couple of months, but the top end looks promising, so I decided to keep the original motor and rebuild it.

Good luck and welcome. First car I drove, when I was 12, was our 53 Buick Super.
Think that was the first time my dad said "don't tell your mother."

Welcome! I too am working on a nailhead project but I'm a geezer moving at glacier speed. I have devoted a portion of my website to my nailhead build and it may be of some interest to you for research.

Beautiful car. Good luck with it.
