I am sorry but this car showcases just about everything that is wrong with "fake" g***ers. Whitewall tires, those bogus 10 spoke front wheels, no roll bar etc.

That was at least a car built to the style of its era and it was not pretending to be a race car despite LB dropping it into this thread.

***** ***** ***** where is your contribution of cars in here?

Note the thread wording Falcons g***er STYLE not real falcon g***ers.

  14. Not really the issue here, LB.
Some folks love to scour F/B and other venues and post 1000's of pictures. Other rarely post, and just like to look.
Some of us don't like to look at cars with modern wheels on a traditional site . That would include the current super light drag wheels and the fake "retro " wheels. I ***ume the former ones don't get by the moderators, but the latter ones do, regularly. In MY opinion, they're dropping the ball on this.
But such is not my yob, so I'd guess we should just say to post all you want..but don't be surprised if some traditional folks..*****, *****, *****

If you want me to actually ***** I could say that the chopped Falcon has absolutely no resemblance to a g***er--either real or g***er style--it is purely a custom.
My main contribution lately has been to add some (hopefully enlightening) information to some of the photos that you post (along with occasionally correcting errors in your captions). I don't have the time to scan the web daily and post dozens of photos in multiple threads as I have a business to run and a life away from the internet and cars. I love some of the more obscure images that you post but simply wish that you would pay a little more attention to what you are posting.

Built it as tribute to my late Dad. He raced a new '64 Cobra and I always loved the G***ers in his old copies of Eastern Drag News.

'61 Ranchero, blown SBC, 8.50 Cert'd ch***is, white tuck and roll.

Some things are non-HAMB friendly so no thread about it.

    OK LB,
here is a g***er style Falcon that is an actual race car and looks pretty much period correct (apart from sitting a little tall). Photo from last weekend's Blue Suede Cruise drags at Norwalk where we were running my mate's dragster in the 7.0 cl***.

VIN CSX2335, 1964 Cobra, 289, 4 speed. Dad bought it new, drag raced it. Mostly at York US 30and the street, according to Mom. Held a record or two. Seems like the records fell every other week back then. He raced and was friends with Bruce Larson. I learned a lot about my Dad from Bruce. Good and bad, lol. Dad sold the car in '65. My brother was born in July '65. Amazing how that scenario keeps playing out through the generations. Dad would roll over in his grave if he knew what that car would be worth now.

Enough Hi-jacking. Back to the Falcons!
