Couple'a questions about the SEGA races.
Wanted to make the race in Myrtle Beach but.....gonna have a baby first of July!!
Welllllll.........my son and his wife are. It will be my second grandson!
    1. How many SEGA cars are usually at each race?!! 10....20.....50?!!
    2. Do they have other classes racing(brackets/pro mod etc) or just the "SEGAshow"?
    3. Is the race in Aiken, SC the final race of the year? How many cars show for that?
I realize the weather plays a huge part in attendance but "ass"-u-me-ing its dry and cool-ish (for SC) how many carz?!
Gonna try and make that one!

There is usually about 50 cars at each race. Its only SEGA cars running at their races, A/G, B/G, C/G, super stock and exhibition A/FX. Aiken, SC is not the last race. You wont be disappointed if you go!

What Higgy said. 50-60 cars depending on weather, 1500-2000 fans at an average. Only SEGA, every car there is a 4 speed and every car races heads up no breakout. Btw congrats on the second grandkid, make sure and indoctrinate him in the hot rod ways!

Anybody can paint passably with a few tips ,but getting them ready so the bodywork doesn't show takes years of practice.

Gotta mount the trunk and glass the headlight buckets in and it’ll be ready to finish the body work and paint it.

Relatively new member here. I have been watching the build, great work!

I am not an expert body and paint guy, but I have painted about a dozen cars since I was 15 yrs old.

My biggest learning was "how to sand"!

I tell people it took me 20 years to learn to sand!

Using the right grits at the right time in the process to cut flat without having sanding marks and shrinkage come back 2 yrs later, light pressure, etc

Got the hood pin tabs made and got the front end pretty much finished. Then put the wheels on it to check out how the quarters fit the big slicks. It has the figment we were going for. It’s got the look for sure!

Zak, with those snake eyes, it looks badass. Now a shiny grille and some new blinker lights, and the front tube bumper like the one in back for the moon tank.
    Those 60's gassers Rule.
