    This looks like 51-52 Packard front fender spear heads but Merc door and quarter trim, is that what's going on in this pic? I like this side trim treatment, just trying to figure out exactly how it was done.

    Yep. A few years ago he told me he was building that car and I kept thinking it sounded horrible (especially when he said he widened the front but not the rear!) but he really pulled it off. Not my style, but awesome.

    Superb work on the chopped convertible top on this Shoebox, and equally nice on the flush fit fender skirts. Would love to see what it would look like with proper wheelcovers and without the peel and stick portholes on it. I feel like those things coudn't possibly have been added by whoever did the top and bodywork.

    ^^^ Looks great! The dorky additions really hurt the car a lot. Damn shame, although easily reversible, which is good.
