I’m down, but it might short circuit some members’ pacemakers.... (I’ll need some KMFDM or Meat Beat Manifesto to calm down after) Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Bruce Springsteen's "Racing In the Streets" . Emmy Lou Harris did a cover of it that I like probably more than the original.
If you have an 8-track, Trooper Hot Shots is the one we wore out in high school..Still play it today on one of them new fangled USB thingies....
I prefer the version by Them (with Van Morrison)… Ted's histrionics can get tiring... If I'm just 'cruisin' in no particular hurry, any early Steve Miller album (1-5) or Moody Blues will do it. Their 'Days of Future P***ed' album is just about perfect for leisurely cruising in a forested area for some reason. If I want to 'get up on the wheel', then Ten Years After or any live Johnny Winter will get me 'fired up'... 'Back in the day', the Dead's 'Live Dead' was a major favorite. Still is, just not as heavy in the rotation these days... LOL...
It all depends on what time of day and where I am going. Some times it is my friend Dave Calhoun's Trop rock music on one of his CD's, Sometimes it's my nephews CD from when he had a band or late at night it is often Jeff Beck or ZZ top when I want to make miles going cross country.
Chills and Fever- Ronnie love (for dating) 2120 Michigan Ave- Rolling Stones (for freeway) AND if you have VIBRASONIC: Rumble- Linc Wray and the Wray Men.
Damn! So many tunes to choose from.... For me it's DOO WOP all the way to late '70s. Including Philly Soul and Motown...
Not just one song, so forgive the faux pa, but I was at a cruise in last night and I dug through the 8tracks in the trunk and selected Hotel California. The 442 normally overheats in slow traffic but she ran cool, I think she liked the eagles.
Agreed fullt BTW. Check out this "traditional" version (since the guys looks like most of us) and make sure you catch the drum solo near the end.
