Great cruisin' song in my opinion.... Sentimental Lady by Bob Welch (sp) from Fleetwood Mac fame..... Same guy that sang Hipnotise (sp)... That's another cool cruisin' song.....

What is my favorite cruisin tune? Wellllllllll, I haven’t got a favorite per se, however, one song I like is Stevie Ray Vaughn’s rendition of Little Wing. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Great thread idea..from years ago. I dont consider myself very old (at almost 48, but todays youth may disagree).. Soo hard to choose one. I think the am graffiti soundtrack would b good... BUT, since i was bout 12, ive always pictured cruisin (slowly) in a hotrod, to the sound of the 'wanderer'. Could just be me though. Vut that song just does it for me. T
Took the wife out to Antonio's restaurant on Ford Rd. And played I wonder why by Dion and the Belmonts along the way on my cellphone........
Too many to mention, but it really depends on what the mood is and who's with me. For instance, if it's the guys and we're lookin' for some 1/4 mile action, then maybe "Drag City" - Jan & Dean or "Thunder Road" - Robert Mitchum or "Hot Rod Lincoln" - Charlie Ryan or even "Grudge Run" - **** Dale. If I'm cruisin' the local burger joint, then maybe "Cherry, Cherry Coupe" -The Beachboys or "Walk Don't Run" - The Ventures or "Pipeline" - The Chantays. If I'm with my main squeeze and we're in a romantic mood, then maybe "Earth Angel" - The Penguins or "My Prayer" - The Platters or "Could This Be Magic" - The Dubs or "You Belong to Me" - The Duprees. If we're in a silly mood, then maybe "Chantilly Lace" - The Big Bopper or "Shimmy, Shimmy, Coco Bop" - Little Anthony or "Purple People Eater" - Sheb Wooley. So many great tunes, so little time.
These days its Spotify playlists streamed from phone via bluetooth to a hidden system. Seems my tastes run a tad different than the older crowd on here. Day to day Rammstein. With AC/DC, Manson, Korn, Metallica all thrown in. On good sunny days I do like old skool 90s and early 2000s gangster rap. NWA, Ice Cube, EzyE, Em, Snoop, Biggie, Pac etc Wont link some of the songs the lyrics might offend some. oh and lol Steel Panther just cuz it gets my missus going. Guys crack me up so cheesy. And to get into the vibe for car shows. War: Low Rider, Hillbilly Explosion, Dropkick Murphys etc
Hello, Music to cruise in your hot rod or cruiser go together like peanut ****er and jelly in a sandwich. It was just a natural thing to do back then. The top 40 stations with the be bop and do wop sounds were fun times, trying to keep up with melodies. With the advent of modern FM music radio stations, tape players and now mp3 players that can hide anywhere, the music is endless. The music choices are almost endless. (Except for skipping any (c)rap stuff.) Some of us have been around for quite some time, listening to all types of music from the 50s to the 2018 drive times. I could not just list one of a million songs over the years, so I broke it down by eras. The choices were hard as many different songs were top hits for everyone, including my wife and me. But, the one songs of the “eras” seemed better choices. 1950s: Come go with me: Del Vikings 1960s: All Along the Watchtower: Jimi Hendrix 1970s: Sweet Emotion: Aerosmith 1980s: Panama: Van Halen 80s: Sweet Child of Mine: Gun N’ Roses 1990s: "1979": Smashing Pumpkins 2000s: Closer: Chainsmokers This is just my list, not “THE” list. Everyone has one or many of their own as top hits to cruise. Jnaki But, nothing tops this Tune for excitement! No other tune or sound is necessary. It is music to my ears on short drives or even long ones. It takes me back to those early days of carefree driving and teenage years. Cherry Ave acceleration
