I have seen these type of booths in person. The construction is canvas with some sort of rubber air tight coating. Seems extremely durable. Hell, it stand up to a bunch of snot nose dripping kids bouncing in them everyday, right? They’re completely self contained. Have two snail style fans to blow it up and keep it inflated. Sets up in under 10 minutes. Weighs about 75 pounds. Gets stored in a duffle bag. I guess one can also place that in a storage bin if they were worried about rats eating at it (one of the comments i saw). Its got its own built in filters which are easily changed out. Only downside is the lack of lighting. But that can be eliminated by use of exterior lighting on either side. The booth has clear sides, so its actually very well lit. I just ordered one on ebay for 1600. Included shipping. Only part im trying to figure out is what to use on the inside plastic to keep overspray from fogging up the clear panels. I was thinking of just taping clear car cover over it each time. Its pretty cheap and quick. I own a restoration shop thats just 1800 sq feet. If i were to have a spray booth and my lift permanently in place, it would allow for only a small workable area. This allows me the room and convenience of saving my floor space. Dont listen to the nay sayers. And especially those claiming their home made time bomb “works just fine” just wait till the paint funes ignite from the sparks caused by the windings in their fans electric motor. They’ll learn real quick why explosion proof fans are a must! These booths are the best bang for the buck for us small shop owners and hobbiests.
I know this is an old thread but I am wondering if any body has bought and used one of these recently. I am sick of the mess from painting in my shop and would like to use one of these.
