I'm normally okay with snakes (eat mice), but that's one fucker that would cause me reach for the machete. Don't a lot of the snakes in other countries have neurotoxins that stop your heart? I know the coral snake found in the SW USA does...

I don't think that is an electric fence. I think it might just be stuck. I can't rightfully tell, but are those retractable hollow fangs towards the roof of its mouth? If so, that sucker is venom packing mammi-jammi.

And here - in Angola I thought you'd bring back a nice picture of a Mamba. They're so friendly.

from the looks of his markings, its a (ball) python. I use to have a bunch of them. Never that bis since they only get as big as their enclosure. Since he doesnt have one, and if he keeps eating..... sky is the limit.

It looks like it's already eaten dinner....notice the "lump" part way along the body

I'll take a coral snake over a python any day of the week. Corals are easy to deal with (we've had one in the house twice in my life)

I got that in an email last week. It was eating someones's sheep in Australia, so they set up an electric fence, figuring it was dingos. I understand the farmer was QUITE suprised at what he found :D

By the way, most have more than two fangs like one in pic. When my smaller snakes use to bite me, they would leave markings in a perfect half oval shape. Of course the fangs are what suck. They are like hooks and they are hard to get out of, unless you rip your skin.

  23. Shove a length of steel rod up its ass and bend into a spiral shape and you have the best shift lever ever, it would have to go in an open car of course.

I caught two cotton mouths and kept them as pets for the summer when I was 12...and I used to catch and keep 4-foot long snakes we called Blue Ribbon and Black Racers all the time between 10- and 12-years old. On a back packing trip in college, I once chased a 30-inch long rattle snake thru a field of knee-high ferns with a Bowie knife (and tall boots), thinking I wanted to cook it for dinner that night.
If I saw that thing in my back yard, I'd scream like a little girl and flee in stark raving terror. I don't have the metric conversion handy, but the link above said it was 4 meters long...a meter being something near a yard puts that snake in the neighborhood of 10 feet long. That's a neighborhood I don't EVER want to be near after dark!

Ferrel pythons are a real bitch. Austraila and now florida. I saw on the news and also on the internet where a 6 foot gator was eaten by a 30 foot python, the gator actually busted open the python killing both. You know you got a mean motherfucker on your hands when a snake thinks a gator is dinner!
