I will be in vegas this wed, to this sat. my girlfriend will be working all day, and I need to waste the days. What all is there to do that isnt gambling or looking at casinos. I know there is the museum at Harahs, and that is on the list. Any good shops to visit?
the auto museum is at Imperial Palace, not Harrahs. I thought it was decent. Thats about all i can offer. lol Mark
If you are into trail hikes, I highly recommend Red Rock Canyon. Take Charleston west all the way out of town. It's maybe 15 miles from downtown, not bad. Yet it's a GREAT place to catch fresh air and peace and quiet. Better yet, take your girl if you get a chance. If you aren't into peace and quiet, maybe you can go go-cart racing.
The weather is prime for night driving. Take your custom / hot rod to Vegas and cruise the strip. I also recommend the car museum at Imperial Palace. I also recommend checking out the new "european style" adult pools at hotels such as Wynn resort and Caesars. ******* women make the good weather even brighter if you catch view of the right ones... Start a ***** trading card collection, see how many diffent cards you can get with a pic of the same girl, but different names. hours of fun. The cigar bar at the Hard Rock, get a scotch and get the hookah for free. The normal looking bar across from the Hard Rock... it isn't, but they'll mix you up a FABULOUS cosmo if you want. It was Halloween, don't ask. Hoover Dam Aren't there a bunch of HAMBers in in Vegas and Kingman, AZ?
deja vu nightclub on industrial blvd. it's directly behind fashion show mall, which is right across the street from treasure island and wynn. good looking women and totally ****. no liquor sales though. the car musuem in imperial palace is ok. there's also a custom car dealer in the forum shops (adjacent to ceasar's palace) that usually has a couple of decent hot rods. lots other stuff too if you have a car and can get off the strip.
LOL! That's the gay bar area fo' sure. The Double Down is right over there. Everytime I'm in the DD, some local wanders in from the fancy bars and tries to pick me up. Whatever, it makes me feel pretty ******s are everywhere, you can find them at the casino bars, or just order in from a flyer, magazine, or rolling billboard What kind of trouble do you want to get in? A friend of mine bartends at Dino's. If you drop my name, he'll probably take your side in the fight that will break out eventually. Here's a pic from the Art Bar, that's Tony doing the jello 'shot', without his dress for a change
last time i was out there i snuck out and hit up deja vu, them girls are flew in from all over the country. if you hit the imperial palace, ask the people taking photos out front on the street by the slot machine for some free coupons for the auto show, i hit it 3 times when i got bored. i never ordered a girlie to go, but i was curious about them 24 hour spas on industrial i walked past. i usually bring back the free "star" magazines(girlie) as souveniers for friends. wifee wouldnt let me collect them last time though. seems house of blues out there usually has a good band, and toby keith's bar and grille has some good eye candy and good music.
If you survive a Friday night, we have a good car cruise early Sat. mornings(7am). It's at a doughtnut shop on Tropicana & Mountian Vista. If your up for it, PM me and I'll give you details... Chris
try the atomic testing musem 755 E. flamingo 702-794-5151. has lots of cool info about atomic testing and bombs. you can easily spend 2-4 hours there.
No really great shops other than SoCal LV that I know of. It's on Desert Inn between Valley View and Oakey. North side of the street. If there are any other shops, tell me, 'cause I don't know of any others worth seeing. That Atomic Museum is supposed to be cool. Never been there though. Want to check it out. Have to check out Double Down! Must go! There's also the Rainbow Bar and grill across the street from Hard Rock (don't think that's a gay bar). Never checked that out either though. If you have a car go to Red Rock like someone else said. it's awesome just to even take a drive through! If you have a car, like the mountains, and REALLY want to kill some time, go up to Mt. Charleston and grab a beer at the lodge. It's really nice up there right now and it only takes about 45 minutes to get there. It's like going to another world. Few suggestions for you besides the usual strip club and ****** suggestions.
I know, I know... it's the wrong place to put a bar like that with a name like that if you don't want it to end up being a gay joint. Here's what it's supposed to be a Knock off of or maybe an expansion of. Some famous place on the sunset strip... you so cal guys would know what's up with this place... http://www.rockandrollroadmap.com/rainbow.html
make sure you go to the top of the stratosphere and ride the big shot - that is a blast. forget the roller coaster up there. then go the bar up there and get a drink - the bar tender will give you a VIP p*** to ride the elevator back up there for free. Also - Circus Circus has a god roller coaster in side. There is also a good roller coaster at the Cali state line - big casino on the left - you can't miss it. It's like a 45 minute ride if I remember right. make sure you go lay eye on Lake Mead - very cool Imperial palace museum is cool too - the duesy collection is bad ***.
Last summer when we were in Las Vegas my daughter tried indoor skydiving and had a blast.http://www.flyawayindoorskydiving.com/
It's VERY cool up there. I'm actually getting married on top of the Stratosphere in a few weeks (3 weeks from today!)! I figure that way I always have the option of jumping over the rail... Also, you HAVE to go to "The Gun Store"! http://www.thegunstorelasvegas.com They have an air-conditioned indoor range, and you rent FULL AUTO weapons!!! Plan on dropping at least a hundred bucks there...
We just got home from Vegas. A couple people mentioned Red Rocks. We liked the Valley of Fire a little better. It's northeast of town and on the way, you p*** Las Vegas Speedway and the Shelby shop is there. I think he may also have a museum there? FREMONT STREET is pretty cool. It's at the north end of Las Vegas Blvd. Park, walk and drink. It's "old school" Vegas.
Yep. Next to a hopped up flathead or hemi, nothing sounds better to my ears than an MP-5 on full auto.
