I have not run duals so take this for what it's worth........

I think a good shifter and downshifting manually is your best bet in the long run.

Not on a C4 but a Cruise-o-Matic works the same. Vacuum modulator controls normal shifting and the kick down lever on the side of the trans does the kick down. I see no reason you can't get a cable made and make a bracket near the trans to hold it. On the carb end have it be like a typical tv cable with a lot of adjustable threads and slot placed on the end of the cable. As you operate your 2 Strombergs in tandem they move in the slot and at the very end it moves the cable pulling on the trans arm down shifting the trans. I did it on a cruise-o with a dual quad set-up, I had to keep adjusting the slot until it would only down shift right at the end. I didn't use a cable buts exactly the same principle. Good luck.

yes that's what I was thinking. and as F1 said just down shift it I think tats a good alterative till I figure it out just thought someone had did this and had some pics of the set up at the carbs it would make it a little easier. I do have the lever on the trans just need to make up a cable.

Used the Lokar cable setup on a buddies '48 with 2 Demons and a C4. Worked great. Not the best picture, but it is the only one I have.
