Be there, out back on the grass, with the 33 Dodge coupe, from the build thread here on HAMB. Oh, and we always have cold beer.

Bruce, less then a week away. Coming up from Florida I always dread the Nashville traffic. Several times I've been stuck in it 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Be safe I'll see you in Lou-a-vull.

  5. Almost finished packing.
    Leaving tomorrow morning (28 July).
Making a couple of stops along the way.
1000 miles later I should be at the Crowne Plaza late Monday morning.

Helping Dennis O'Brien set up his booth on Tuesday.

Anyone looking for me can find me doing Safety inspections on Saturday or .....

out in front of Papa John's on Wednesday selling t-shirts by my car.
Only bringing a limited supply this year. I usually put them in O'Brien's trailer but this year they're only bringing the Mullins instead of the 14' trailer so there's no room.

Will most likely head back to the Crowne Plaza once the sun moves around the building and starts beating down on me. Getting too old to be out standing in the heat.

  6. Oh yea, me 'n Dennis should have our '34's parked side by side in Mopar Country again on Saturday. We're the last two who've made 'em all.

The rest of the time I expect to be parked over near 6 Flags across from the St Louis Street Rods tent with Hot Rod Liz and her Winnipeg-based T-bucket. Look for entries 1 (me) & 2 (her)
    She's got #1 for the 50th Nationals. I'm good with #2

Desoto....I'm betting you know a long time friend of mine, Rich Steyh, who had perfect attendance with the same car for many years until he got burned quite badly in a vintage midget just before the Nat's. He's from the St Louis area and was the "King" (as he saw it) of the St Louis Street Rod Assn. for many years. He drove a lavender ('57 Chevy color?) '27 T roadster with a Desoto hemi that was built in the 60's. BTW he still has the car but hasn't been to the Nat's but maybe one time since his perfect attendance string was broken.

We used to go every year, will miss it again this year. Love this show and the opportunity to drool over all the new hardware!

Gman0046, we gave up on the route through Nashville years ago, now stay on I75 to Lexington then I64 to Louisville. I have found that it’s an easier drive. Dave

    Hey all,
First time posting! And, this will be my first time going to the Louisville show and will be there Friday afternoon and all day Saturday...any suggestions on where to park? I'm bringing my 1930 Ford...just looking for a good place to hang out, look at cars, and hopefully learn a few things :) Here's my project for the last 5 years...

I don't know where in Florida you're coming from, but can you take Briley Parkway past the Grand Ole Opry? I go through Nashville at all times of the day and haven't ever been caught in traffic that bad. I quit going through downtown years ago due to traffic. Even though it would take you further to go around the city I believe it would save you time.

Maybe a record: 5 years between joining and posting.
