Can anyone please post a picture of the timing mark for the 48 ford flathead 6 ?
Why would I get fuel to the back three plugs and not to front three ?
Got good compression and nothing appears to be in the intake.
    Thank you

I see a bump at the front edge of the pulley and a line as well.
Which one should I be using as these flat 6s are new to me.
    Thanks again

Just a thought here...maybe if you included a general location as to where you are, there might even be someone nearby that could offer up some hands-on help.:)

I have never had this engine but if your only getting fuel to the back three cylinders you have an intake obstruction. Wasps, mice, spiders and snakes oh my. Maybe even rust.
Pull your intake and check the valve galley. Something is blocking it.
Timing? Is your loadamatic distributor advancing??
    Odds are it isn’t.

Have you ever had this engine running, is this a recent problem? Too many unanswered questions and you haven't been back in over 24 hours. Did you get it running, or give up and junk it? YES, location is important. You could be just over the hill from me and I'm retired and love tearing things apart. Just ask my wife.

    No Sir,
    Just picked this truck up.
Distributor was on the front seat.
    Cleaned the plugs and points.
    Confirmed plug wire locations.
    Distributor cap is new.
I see a bump on the edge of the harmonic balance and a line on it.

Well now I know you aren't over the hill from me, clear across another State:eek:. Anyway too far for me to pop over but what Petejoe suggested in his post is an excellent place to start. My guess something is in the intake manifold blocking it. Have you pulled it to visually check it? Did the engine run when parked? My first guess was bent pushrodso_O, but you don't have any so, possible bent valves if the intake isn't blocked. Could bad lobes on the cam too, a lot of possibilities.
