Well, good news bad news time. The good news is everything is looking great for Saturday. It has been raining here off and on every day so the track has some great puddles in the corners. The weather for Saturday is looking like sunny and 71. There are a ton of vendors lined up to bring piles of junk to look through. Also a bunch of t shirt and trinket vendors. LOTS of out of town HAMBers are on the way too. We will all be hangin out Friday evening at the grounds and the museum will be open 5 or 6 until 9 on Friday. Stop by if you are looking to go for a ride Friday evening.
The bad news is that Sunday drag racing is canceled. The owner if the airport is in litigation over the racing and thought he would be straighten out by the show...so he never called me until today! I'm sorry for any trouble this may have caused anyone, but this is what happens when you try to put something together outside of your control. Sorry, I tried to make it work.
Hope to see everyone Saturday, "Scary" Larry

Me and MarkX are heading out from Dallas Thurs am. See you Friday night.

I can't wait to run the track, I guess I'll save the drag racing for DOTD and HAMB Drags. :)

Larry that ****s. You know South Mountain not to far from Latimore maybe give them a call see if they can help save the Sunday drags. There tech is alittle tight and its only 1/8 mile but its cool little track.

Did Sumo sabotage the drags so I couldn't whoop him!:D

It's a great show without them can't wait till Friday.

Larry the paint looks good on the roadster.

Bob, it might be the slowest time but it will be close to the loudest noise with that split manifold. When you left my house last fall, you were at least a mile and a half from my house and we still heard you.

Anyone p***ing through cincy needs a place to stay, we've got room. We don't have beds to offer, but we can give you a carpeted floor, indoor plumbing, decent street parking (I once parked an untagged 'project' vehicle there for 3 months without a single issue), and a decent garage stocked with tools if you have problems. I'm about 30 seconds off the interstate. Drop me a PM...

****s about the drags, but with or without them, the "normal" gig at the dirt track is still KILLER!!!

I found some bad new's myself today.. I had my truck up on the lift checking over thing's for the trip and basically getting it ready when i found some crack's in the frame..
Not just any crack's either, one on each side of the frame on the inside in front of the trans crossmember..From top to bottom through the boxing plate's, with the one on the drivers side going under on the frame itself to the outside rail, and forward about 6"..
    It's actually pretty ****ed up..

So, i'm going to be trying to get this repaired to make the trip safely..hopefully i can get it squared away..but i'm out for the track this year if i do make it.
Whatever i do to get it fixed will be temporary til i can get the body off and fix it right.....or maybe just build another frame this time around.

    I just now found out.

    Drag.... Or lack there of.

I was really looking forward to the challenge of getting my roadster to hook.

    I am not put off.

I'll figure some where to hook it.

I can't wait for the weekend. Oh well with the drags. It definitely would have been fun. I am dropping the car off at the exhaust shop tomorrow morning. Hopefully the guy's wife doesn't go into labor and I get jammed. Anyway, see you there. - Larry (not that scary...more hairy)

I remember your car, and the creek.

I must have been napping when you drove in the creek.

    See you there.

I thought about it, but the way the mill's knocking i doubt i'd get out of NY with it before one of the rods decided to go on vacation...
Hopefully by next year i'll have the 'new' inline in it and ready to go.

I took my truck over to a buddy's shop tonight and had a friend who's a master welder ****ize the damage.
He did his 'thing' and took care of the cracks so it's better now than it was before..
BUT, on my way home from his shop the ****in thing started running like ****!
Man, someday's you just can't win..

I'll have to figure that out tomorrow..

Sorry for the highjack Larry..back to your regular scheduled program :)
