Thinking of selling my 54 Poncho. It's a fairly unmolested car with the original straight 8 and transmission. I believe it's had one repaint. About 55K miles on the car. Interior is original and is in decent shape although I was planning on re-doing it. It was in storage since the early 90's when I bought it. There is very little if any rust on the body or frame. One small patch on the drivers floor (6 x 12). My plan was to put a modern engine and trans into it but once I started going thru the car, it was too nice and original to mess with. I've replaced or fixed: - All new brake drums and cylinders - New master cylinder - New gas tank & lines - New rear leaf springs (1" lower) & shocks - New front springs (1" lower) - New aluminum radiator (couldn't save the original) - Resealed and cleaned engine block - Rebuilt fuel pump - Rebuilt carb - All new fuel & vacuum lines in engine back - New plugs, wires and electronic ignition - Rechromed/polished most of the shiney parts on the outside (rear bumper not done, but presentable) - Smokes a little after sitting but clears up and idles very quietly - Will need a new exhaust. Pipe has several small holes. New stock exhaust on order. Possible trade for or towards hot rod, T-track, etc.
