so I know one was crashed. I've heard different stories on the 2 remaining 55's. So anyone know for sure where they are today?

I should have bought the '55 and the coupe for $1500 each when I had the chance back in '72!

  12. The actual 55 is located in a private storage locker in north Hollywood. Current value, $150,0000.

I thought on Jay Lenos show that he had James Taylor drive a real two lane blacktop 55?

Found a couple of pictures of cars twolane.jpg 63836c2f4e7970f32412b457db9a6ad5bc78fcac.jpg while movie was in production.

  17. I know I’m going to get hell for this but...... the movie is silly no story or point if you ask me.

I still love it for the racing and the 55 !!

But let’s face it if this movie was made without a gto and a souped up 55 it would have ****ed ***!

Could you imagine this flick with a e-type jag and a thunder chicken having the same effect ?

2 lane blacktop was lame but it was fun for a car freak who liked racing. Sometimes we just want to see a fun movie that we don't have to think too hard to keep up with.
I think I have DVDs of both movies stashed away in my movie stash. I think I bought 2 lane blacktop off Amazon for less than the price of a good craft beer a few years ago.
