New to old cars.

  1. so hi!

    New to old vintage cars.
Like have had a 70s Buick what I have recently sold to help fund another older car that would go more with me and my pinup life style.

Im still trying to figure out what most of the car terms mean I must admit. So please dont grill me to hard if I think something is Traditional because it is two or three times older than me to find it is not.

Have a few friends who can help with some of the dirty work but im not afraid to tie the hair up and get in my overalls and get filthy.

So no car at the moment but I hope to remedy that soon. Like old chopped mercs but I have been pointed to Hudsons that are cheaper and have a cool history. Kinda digging on them at the moment.
Anyone here know of any good Hudson info or cars?

Cars from says after WW2 to late 50s do it for me. Not in to tri five chevies as I just see to many of them an would like something a bit different.

    Any recommendations guys?

I have a garage, a tool box and an appe***e for destruction!

    cheerio!!!

My best advise would to look around and buy the best car you can afford. I would recommend a car that is running, driving and stopping so you can drive it as you work and improve it. Don't p*** up on a decent 4 door as it will be cheaper to buy than a 2 door and you can have just as much fun working on it. Avoid total rust buckets as repairing rust get deep in your pocketbook fast. Good luck with finding your ride, keep us posted!

P.S. You need to fill out a profile so we can get to know you!! Welcome to the H.A.M.B.:)

  3. oh I will go and fill that out now.

Yeah im after a car I will drive, name and get to know.
Rust a friend tells me is like cancer. A deise I have a great hate for so I hope to get a rust free car.
Have read else where it is better to get a car needing mechanical work than rust work.

My old car was a coupe. loved it but with friends always in the back it was a pain. So im fine with a four door if the body style is right.

    What does this mean?

  5. Well hello to you to mr pineapple avatar man.
Im a makeup artist and hairdresser. Work at a pinup salon. We also do car hair & makeup at car shows.
Guess by that i mean my fashion sense etc leans towards a more vintage look. Same as most of my friends.
Is it wrong to wish to have a vehicle that reflects you and what you are into?

No judgement. Don't be so defensive.
