A friend of Dad's dragster at Samoa. I don't have any details on the car really, just a picture from Dad's collection.
That car is awesome.....sits pretty high for a channeled car, must have a lot of spring in it...I like it!!
Thats awesome & thanks for sharing...I need to scan some of my dads photos too...One of my favorites is my dad as a kid in front of my grandpas 40 merc....Thanks for sharing!!
Irish. To cool. thanks TONS. Those are priceless. I totally dig the last shot of the parking lot. Check out all those different cars. Corvette, Bug Eyed Sprite. Willys. El Camino etc. WOW.
The Hot Rod scene was going strong back then in Arcata and Eureka. Thanks Slim. Glad you like them, my pleasure. Get your dads on here too. I'll get my mom or dad to scan some more sometime. BTW my mom is the one who took all the photos. The guy with my dad at the races is my uncle Tom. WhiteDevil: Glad you like! I like this time period also as I came along in 1962.
I know you say it isn't possible, but I am absolutely positive I have seen the #2 pic before, the one with the 2 guys next to the front of the car... Damn cool car... Sam
I know I posted them for the first time ever back on 8/31/09 at the top of this thread. The originals are in my parents photo album and were snapped mostly by my mom. Dad and Uncle Tom look pretty serious in #2!
That coupe is MEAN! love it. Also really digging the dragster- especially the front suspension. -rick
