I picked up a 1937 Buick Coupe yesterday. I plan on putting a new frame and upgraded suspension under the car. The owner insisted I take every spare Buick spare part he had collected which was great except for 4 sets of front springs and numerous A arms with hubs and in some cases drum attached. It's about 400 lbs of s****. I live in Vancouver and have zero place to store this stuff. It might be of value to a restorer and I feel bad tossing it. What does one do with this stuff. I'd happily give it away to an enthusiast or do I send it off to become Chinese toasters? (If you want it PM me asap. No shipping)

Ebay and Craigslist for Local Pickup, price it at twice what the s**** is worth to keep the vultures off you.

  4. When I built my 50 Chevy I had the same issue with the stock stuff

Some stuff I sold ( front suspension , cross member and ******)

Some stuff I gave away ( torque tube and the 216 engine)

Some got s****ped ( gas tank and other misc stuff)

I get the vultures thing but if you want it gone your local Kijiji or Craig’s list here on the Hamb is your best bet.

Agreed with the AACA buick forums, (maybe don't tell them what your doing to the underpinnings) or the 37-38 buick facebook page if you want to sell some of it........ or me if you have the rear lever shocks or the master cylinder, clutch stuff!

To me it's junk to a restorer maybe useful. They aren't making anymore new parts like that and I would rather help out a guy than put it in the s**** heap.

The rear end and torque tube are still in it. As I dis***emble it if that stuff shows up you can have it cheap. It does have a rebuilt straight 8 and a 3 speed manual which i will be selling over the next few months. If it goes according to plan its getting a nailhead, 4 or 5 speed and an open drive line with a 9 inch.

Hey thanks, I'd appreciate it, no rush. I bought my 37 Century as a stripped shell on a ch***is, and while its not really going to be a restoration, theres some stock stuff I want to use. There are always people looking for engines and specific stuff and extras on the aaca buick buy and sell, should be able to unload some of it there.

I might be interested in the straight 8 and 3 speed for my 40 Special.

If you are not in a hurry be happy to discuss that. All the other parts were gone in a day. Free seems to be a good price. I had a guy in VA offer me $50 for one drum and pay shipping! I hated to tell him they were all gone.

Looks like the frame and body will part company by August 1st. Let me know if you are still interested. We finally got it in the warehouse last week and are busy sorting out the jig saw puzzle that came with it.

I gave what I could away to a friend for his car (46 Olds) as spare parts and then tried to donate the balance (Free delivery) to local restorers I knew. No one accepted the offer so in the end everything ended up in the s**** metal recycling bins at local dump because by then I couldn't be bothered selling it by weight. No one has asked me since if I still have any left over parts.
