I was out driving around and the flatty started blowing some pretty good smoke out of the breather/fuel pump stand, it has always done a tiny little bit but this changed quick, I'm ***uming maybe a broken ring, does anybody have any other ideas what does this.

My guess that would be the case. Not a big thing to take off the head and check the cylinder walls for scarring if any and then put on a new head gasket and torque to specs and then that will be out of the way. Mine blows out alot of smoke and oil from the breather tube too. I was told to put a sock around it to catch all of that **** but will have to keep replacing the sock. Try that out 1srt and then go from there. KNUX!

Start off by looking over the plugs and see if any differ from their pals. If nothing obvious, and asuming it smokes badly at idle, pull one plug wire at a time while idling and see if anything changes...

Heavy Blow-by Is A Result Of Worn Engine Parts Allowing Compression To Excape By The Piston Rings Into The Crankcase.could Be A Broken Or Stuck Rings Or If It Also Misses It Could Be Burned Piston Ring Land Due To Detination From Incorrect Timing.
    Good Luck

Yea i have done the sock thing on it for a while, I just put new plugs in a week ago so i will start there, what about a simple compression test? at least that may tell me what cylinder to start on.

Yes...but be optimistic and focus on "stuck" at first. Running some Marvel Mystery oil through both in tank and in oil might be useful and/or instructive...and at least, the smoke will smell nice!
I've rescued two cars whose owners were told "engine failure" when they suddenly started to smoke...those were modern-car specific minor problems...

Our 8BA was puffing pretty heavy, we found alot of cylinder leakage in all cylinders. As we pushed each piston out of the block the rings fell to the floor in a million pieces.......I don't mean a few pieces, I had to vacuum them up. A fresh set of pistons and rings made her much, much better.
